Back to School Safari Set for the Brevard Zoo Aug. 9

VIERA—The Brevard Schools Foundation, in conjunction with the Brevard Zoo, will host  a Back to School Safari at the Brevard Zoo on Saturday, Aug. 9 which includes admission to the zoo and free school supplies. All public school students who were on the free lunch program last year are eligible.

Families must pre-register to participate in this special event. Because parking is limited, participants will be given a safari start time to arrive at the zoo. The zoo will not be able to admit people who come earlier or later than their assigned time slot or those who have not registered in advance. Registered students along with one adult will be able to pick up school supplies as they tour the zoo. Additional adults and non-registered children may accompany the registered families at a reduced entry fee which will be collected at check-in.

To make reservations for the Back to School Safari, call (321) 633-1000 ext. 756, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Reservations will be taken until all available slots are filled or until Aug. 1.

The public may donate by bringing school supplies to the Brevard Schools Foundation at 2700 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera. Monetary donations will also be accepted so that needed supplies may be purchased for the event and may be made online at www.bsf.brevardschools.org.

Please call the Brevard Schools Foundation office at (321) 633-1000 ext. 756 for more information.
